Civil Engineering Fabrics, Geotextiles etc

Civil Engineering Fabrics, Geotextiles etc

Zedtex offer a wide range of fabrics for Civil Engineering solutions. eg: Strengthening of structures, Concrete reinforcement, Retrofitting existing structures, Masonry reinforcement.

Geotextile can improve soil strength at a lower cost than other conventional methods. Zedtex offer Geotextile products such as geogrids and meshes for many applications including roads, airfields, railroads,
embankments, retaining structures, reservoirs, canals, dams, bank protection, coastal engineering and erosion control.

Zedtex Technical Materials Brochure

Applications

  • Used to replace steel fibers in ultra-high-performance concrete – particularly in special situations where corrosion resistance and injury prevention are key requirements. Performance properties, including high tensile strength, good fatigue resistance, long-term dimensional stability, excellent resistance to corrosion, heat, chemicals and saltwater.

Application

  • Strengthening of structures. Column wrapping is used for repairing old and deteriorating structures, and on structures that require additional reinforcement (e.g., to meet earthquake regulations). Concrete reinforcement . Retrofitting existing structures or to reinforce (or prestress) concrete structures, alternative to conventional steel. Excellent tensile mechanical properties, superior corrosion resistance compared to steel. Dielectric nature offers additional advantages in cases where electrical conductivity is not allowed (e.g., to avoid electromagnetic interference).

Applications

  • Impoves sheer resistance, restricts lateral deformation, improves stabilization of the reinforced soil body, anchors the retaining wall and steep slopes together to form a whole stable soil body.

Applications

  • Reinforcing banks with soft bases, averaging stress, improving the base stabilization, adjusting subsidance degree, improving bearing capacity, reinforcing or improving stabilization of sloping fields.

Applications

  • Reinforcing soil banks, drainage, reverse filtration, averaging base stress, decreasing base formation, prevent silting of fill layers, accelerating drainage, improving base strength and stabilization.

Applications

  • Anti-seepage for landfill, banks, tunnels, reservoirs and ditches.

Applications

  • Improving the tensile strength of new or old roads with pitch surface, improving the frictional force and interface adhesion between geofrids and pitch, decreasing the non-uniform deformation, improving the function of the road surface, preventing cracks in old roads propogating and thus decreasing their adverse influence on new road surfaces.

Applications

  • High strength, high modulus and good dimensional stability (low creep), Aramid offers unique solutions for the geotextile market in situations where traditional materials, such as polyester and polypropylene, do not meet the requirements.

  • Yarn

Those early yarns are a long way from the highly technical synthetic yarns available today. Nylon, the first synthetic fibre and forerunner of today’s man-made yarns was debuted just in time for WWII rationing and it’s novel use as a material for women’s stockings overshadowed it’s more practical uses, such as replacement for silk in parachutes and other military use.
