Applications

  • Used to replace steel fibers in ultra-high-performance concrete – particularly in special situations where corrosion resistance and injury prevention are key requirements. Performance properties, including high tensile strength, good fatigue resistance, long-term dimensional stability, excellent resistance to corrosion, heat, chemicals and saltwater.

Application

  • Strengthening of structures. Column wrapping is used for repairing old and deteriorating structures, and on structures that require additional reinforcement (e.g., to meet earthquake regulations). Concrete reinforcement . Retrofitting existing structures or to reinforce (or prestress) concrete structures, alternative to conventional steel. Excellent tensile mechanical properties, superior corrosion resistance compared to steel. Dielectric nature offers additional advantages in cases where electrical conductivity is not allowed (e.g., to avoid electromagnetic interference).

  • Impoves sheer resistance, restricts lateral deformation, improves stabilization of the reinforced soil body, anchors the retaining wall and steep slopes together to form a whole stable soil body.

  • High strength, high modulus and good dimensional stability (low creep), Aramid offers unique solutions for the geotextile market in situations where traditional materials, such as polyester and polypropylene, do not meet the requirements.
